ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANGERS
ROGUES' GALLERY OF PAST EVENTS:

(Note: Until 2004, all of our shoots were held in a beautiful natural setting in the South Saskatchewan River valley, on a working cattle ranch about 15 miles outside Medicine Hat, where all of the following pictures were taken at various events.)

We will miss the undeniable ambiance of that location, but each shoot required a great deal of work to set up (then tear down and store away) all of our shooting props, etc. That is why we have developed our own "dedicated" permanent western action shooting facility seen in the pictures featured on other gallery pages.

However, we will always appreciate the kindness and generosity of the Ellis Ranching Company, and the Ellis family, which made our first several years of frontier action shooting so enjoyable and memorable!

AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE, I MENTIONED THE VERY UNDENIABLE "AMBIENCE" OF THE ELLIS RANCH LOCATION ....
OUR SHOOTS WERE HELD IN A SANDY OLD RIVERBOTTOM WHERE THE ELLIS RANCH WINTER THEIR CATTLE.
HERE IS A PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN THERE ONE DRY SPRING ...
ON THE GROUND, LOTS OF ONE VERY "AUTHENTIC" ELEMENT OF THAT AUTHENTIC RANCH ENVIRONMENT IS CLEARLY VISIBLE!

'ATMOSPHERE'

(AS YOU MIGHT WELL IMAGINE .... ALL THAT SAND, WITH WELL OVER A CENTURY OF "HEIFER DUST" MIXED INTO IT, MADE FOR AN ATMOSPEHRE WHICH WAS A BIT TOO AUTHENTIC FOR COMFORT IF THE WIND GOT UP!)

FINALLY, BRINGIN' UP THE REAR AS USUAL:

YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF YOUR OWN MISSES?)
